Vodafone Idea (VI) beats Jio and Airtel – Ookla Report

Recently rebranded Vodafone Idea as VI delivered the highest 4G downloading and uploading speed in the last quarter of 2020, this report was given the data and speed testing company Ookla.
According to Ookla VI delivered fastest 4G internet in 16 States including Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujrat, West Bengal, Delhi, Assam, Manipur, Tripura, Nagaland and Mizoram.

Vodafone Idea has topped 142 cities in average downloading speed including Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Indore, Patna, Ranchi, Rajkot, Vadodara, Agra, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, as well as the metros of Mumbai, Delhi NCR and Kolkata, among others.

TRAI MyCall report listed VI at the top in their list of Voice Calling

According to the report of the report, Vodafone Idea delivered highest voice quality call to their users and this is the third month in a row and also score 4 out of 5 stars.

MD and CEO of Vodafone Idea, Ravinder Takkar said, “Ookla has verified Vi as the fastest 4G network pan-India from July to Dec ’20, close on the heels of the TRAI report showing Vodafone Idea delivering highest call quality for three consecutive months from Nov ’20 to Jan ’21. Such external validation for our voice and data services is a strong testimony of our efforts to strengthen network experience for our customers, who are now more reliant on telecom connectivity for their work, education, and all other aspects of life. I am confident that our robust network built on many principles of 5G architecture, and service offerings designed for the new age Digital Indians, will enable people and businesses to stay ahead and thrive.”

In the meanwhile Netflix shared a report of different operators showing their average speed with their country and regions, in this report, JioFibre has topped the chart with 3.6 Mbps in January 2021 and Tata Sky has topped in the list of the average speed of 3.4 Mbps for January 2021. It is followed by Airtel, Atria Convergence Technologies (ACT), Hathway, Spectra and Exticle Broadband with an average speed of 3.4 Mbps.
